Wilhelm, Lauretta Antoinette Age 77, of New Hope, MN, passed away at home on June 21, 2017 in the loving presence of her family after an all-too-brief battle with cancer. "Laurie" is survived by her husband of 50 years, Henry; sons Rob (Jen), Scott (Denise); grandchildren Ellie, Jessica and Brendan, and has been preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Isabella Kampmann and sisters Rosemary Clift & Geraldine Lentz. She was a devoted and supporting wife, loving and selfless mother, proud and generous grandmother, and caring and thoughtful friend. She was also a proud member of New Hope Al-Anon for 14 years. She always placed others before herself, and was well-known for her ability to have cards and gifts delivered on time for every occasion to friends and family. She was joyful and spirited, lighting up the room with her laugh and enthusiasm, and fun-loving and competitive, always willing to play a game of Scrabble or cards with family and friends. We will miss her dearly, especially her laugh, her affection, and her encouragement. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11am on Monday, June 26th at the Catholic Community of Saint Joseph, 8701 36th Ave. N., New Hope, MN 55427. Visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment for family and close friends at Calvary Cemetery in St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, collections will be taken and donated to the Colon Cancer Research and Prevention Fund at Together We Fight Cancer Inc.
