Herdt, Roger Lee 76, Monticello MN, died June 15, 2017. Preceded in death by wife Diana, son Christopher, granddaughter Jennifer Flicek, parents Paul & Ceola Herdt. Survived by sisters Barbara Phillips & Carol Herdt, children Roger Alan (Sharon), Karin Aubol (Carl) as well as 8 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren. Roger was born August 19, 1940 in Minatare Neb, he moved to Denver Colorado where he met and married Diana Nothaft in 1963. In Denver, Roger worked in radio as a disk jockey until 1964 when he started with united Telephone system, which eventually brought he & his family to Brooklyn Park, where in 1986 he took early retirement as United Telephones Midwest Director of Governmental Affairs. In most recent years Roger volunteered at the Monticello Hospital, where he was very passionate about the loving care and kindness to the sick & elderly. He will be greatly missed but we know he is with the love of his life Diana, the rest of his family and his savior Jesus Christ. Cremation services provided by Cremation Society of Minnesota. Private family Celebration of Life to be held later.
