Milbrandt, Thomas Allen age 67 of Fergus Falls, passed away suddenly after medical complications on May 16th, 2017. Tom was born on February 24th, 1950 to Clint and Helen Milbrandt in Atlantic, IA. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, step mothers Marcela and Lois, brothers Clint "Sonny", and Richard "Dick". He is survived by sons Jesse (Susie), and Eric, five grandchildren Brittney (Leif) Teigland, Bryan Lund, Tailor, Nicholas, Sidney, two great grandchildren Sophia and Savea, brothers Jim (Sandy), Kenny (Mary Jo), sister in law Diane, and many nieces and nephews. Tom had a fun-loving, charismatic personality and spread his warmth throughout the country, residing in multiple states. Tom proudly served his country from February of 1969 December of 1971, which included two tours to Vietnam. He received a medal for the following: National Defense Service, Vietnam Service with two bronze service stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign, Army Commendation, Sharpshooter, and a Purple Heart. We will be celebrating Tom's life at the American Legion in Elk River on Sunday, June 4th, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00. Private burial services at Fort Snelling are to be held at a later date.
