Durband, Verna Grace (nee Lemke) Sept. 23, 1924 May 22, 2017 The Lord smiled and blessed Verna with a crown of everlasting glory! A Stearns County MN native, born to Theodore Ernest and Grace Elydia Lemke. Family and friends will remember her kindness and grace. Verna's church and strong faith in God was steadfast. Survived by daughter, Mary Nell Durband; 7 grandchildren, Heather, Eva, Bentley, Franz, Erin, Heidi and Erik; 5 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Stephen, Anna, Alice and Silas; sister, Grace Maria Solarz; daughters-in-law, Joan Durband and Judy Durband; dear Godchildren and many relatives. Preceded in death by loving husband, Henry; sons, Darryl Henry, Robert Gene and Wayne Anton who share the heavens; siblings, Elmer Lemke, Howard Lemke and Eleanore Miller. Funeral Service Thursday, June 1 at 12 noon (visitation 11AM-12PM) at JEHOVAH LUTHERAN CHURCH, Snelling and Thomas Aves., St. Paul, luncheon to follow.
