Sellner, Gene Eugene Terrance Sellner, 63 years old, passed away on May 23, 2017 from terminal Hepatic cancer in his home in Lexington surrounded by his children and wife. He is the husband of Julie Sellner. They shared 30 years of partnership and 22 years of marriage together. Gene and Julie shared a strong Christian Faith with the greatest blessing of love. He is survived by his father Eugene Matthews and brother Patrick Matthews. By his wife Julie, his children Tara Sellner, Nicholas and Jennifer Sellner, Trina Sellner, Jonathon Listrom, Joseph and Autumn Sellner, Jesse Sellner. He has 9 grandchildren including the twins due on July 24th. Nicholas Jr., Payton, Aiden, Conner, Logan, Lilly, Xander, Braylyn, and Makenna. He was predeceased by his mother Catherine Helen Matthews. Gene was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 3, 1954. Gene was owner of Sellner Custom Upholstery. A local business that specialized in furniture design and/or restoration, and customization of automotive, aircraft and marine vehicles. He was extremely skilled with his hands, enjoyed his family, flying small aircraft and riding his Harley. Gene is remembered fornever being in a bad mood, for being quiet and resolute. Incredibly hard worker making sacrifices for his family, always worried about everyone else. Wise and humble.
