Ramlet, Curtis D. age 94, of Naperville, IL passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 12, 2017 after battling non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Thomas (Joan) Hawkinson, Bruce Hawkinson, and Lawrence (Cheryl) Hawkinson; sister Betty Baker, and many fond cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72 years, Shirley, and his dear brother, Roy. In 1942 he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during World War II as part of the Transportation Corps shipping supplies to troops in the Soviet Union. Stationed in Tehran, Iran, he contracted malaria and was discharged in late 1944, returning home to Minneapolis and his job with the M&StL.
