Evans, Randy Burke age 57, passed away on the morning of May 23rd after a courageous 5-month-long battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his mother, Ella Evans, his brothers Larry (Becky) and Jody (Annie) Evans, his loving wife of 37 years, Deborah Evans, and his sons, Chris and Andrew (Monserrat) Evans. Randy grew up in Alva, Oklahoma and received his B. S. in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University in 1981. After completing his law degree (cum laude) from the University of Minnesota in 1984, he joined the firm of Fredrickson and then moved to Krass-Monroe (now Monroe-Moxness-Berg) where he spent the majority of his career. He was a leader in the firm's Corporate Finance/Mergers & Acquisitions group, where he guided buyers, sellers, investors and lenders through complex transactions. Randy enjoyed spending time up north on fishing trips at Lake Vermilion with his family and was a dedicated runner who completed 3 full-marathons and numerous half-marathons. In recent years, he became a fine Italian automobile enthusiast who enjoyed tooling around in his black pinstriped Fiat Spider, weather permitting. His down to earth manner and warm spirit made him a beloved father, husband, brother, and son. We want to thank the wonderful staff at the University of Minnesota Cancer Center and at the N.C. Little Hospice for making his final moments comfortable. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to the Lustgarten Foundation (for Pancreatic Cancer).
