Dailey, Daniel Louis age 68, formerly of Minneapolis, entered into eternal life peacefully on Nov. 21, 2016 and is reunited with his wife and soul mate, Holly Ramsey. Dan graduated from the University of Ohio, where he met Holly. In 1972 they moved to Minneapolis where they established The Five Owls, a children's book review. Dan was also instrumental in the effort to preserve Cedar Lake Park. In 2002, Dan moved to Texas where he became an advocate for children tried and convicted as adults. He published a daily blog to support this effort and in 2008 purchased land with the goal of establishing a retreat to help these children reintegrate into society. Dan is preceded him in death by his wife Holly, father Bud, and mother Peggy. He is survived by his son Henry, sister Christine, brother David, mother-in-law Jan, and nieces Anessa, Lauren, and Allison. A tribute will be held in Cedar Lake Park on May 28 at 11:00 am.
