Getsch, Marjorie Age 101 of Chanhassen passed away May 6, 2017 surrounded by family. Preceded in death by parents Glen and Ella Dye; brother Harry Dye; daughter-in-law Connie Getsch; husband William C. (Bill) Getsch. Marj and Bill were major supporters of Bethel University. Their home on Lake Minnewashta was a dream come true. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved gardening and flowers especially African Violets. Music was an important part of her life she played the cello for many years. She was a long-time member of Colonial Church of Edina, and Coral Ridge Presb. Church of Ft. Lauder-dale, FL - singing in their choirs, and supporting their music departments. Westwood Comm- unity in Excelsior has been her church home since 1998. Marj sent out a daily blog on her IPad up until last year. Survived by sister Amy Knopf (99); sons: David (Dianne) Getsch; Edward (Nancy) Getsch; Thomas (Marilyn) Getsch; John Getsch; 14 Grand Children; and 19 Great Grand Children. Memorial Service Friday, May 12, 2017 at Westwood Community Church, 3121 Westwood Dr. Excelsior, MN 55331. 10:00 AM Visitation; 11:00 Memorial Service followed by lunch at the church. Private interment. Memorials to Westwood Community Church and Auburn Home-Waconia. Cremation Society of MN
