Heimerl, Edwin R. age 98, of Chanhassen, passed away April 27, 2017. Preceded in death by wife Helen; second wife Marie; parents Andrew and Julie; daughter Barb; brother Gerald; sister Martha; step-son Jim Moore. Survived by sons Daryl (Ann) and Larry (Jane); son-in-law Gary Campbell; step-daughters Diane (Bart) Grassie, Sharon (Rick) Slettahaugh, and Carole Moore; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grand-children; 2 great-great grandchildren; and special friend, Lovey Grupp. Edwin was born in Winsted, MN. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11am with a visitation one hour prior at St. John the Baptist church (638 Mill St., Excelsior).
