Moyer, Lanny Lee age 70, of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, passed away April 25, 2017 at St Cloud Hospital. He passed away just as he had lived his life, peacefully and surrounded by those that loved him. Lanny was born to Clayton and Viola (Knutson) Moyer on November 1, 1946 in Verndale, MN. He was united in marriage to Marie Darlene (Stewart) on April 5th 1969. Lanny and Darlene lived in Minneapolis briefly before relocating to Bloomington, MN where they raised their two daughters, Gretchen and Annelle. Lanny worked for 3M for 37 years before retiring in 2007. While he enjoyed his time with 3M, he took to retirement with ease and claimed that he never once missed paid employment. Shortly afterwards, the couple retired to a home in Sauk Centre where many laughs and happy memories were made with friends and family. Lanny was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Leslie James. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughters, Gretchen Houchin (Brad) of Eau Claire WI and Annelle Mix (George) of Hugo, MN; grandsons, Nicholas and Nathan Houchin and granddaughter, Mila Mix; sister, Arlis Hahn (Carlin) of Hibbing, MN. Lanny was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Father-in-law, Uncle, Brother and friend to many. He loved to laugh and had a gentle, self deprecating humor to the very end. He treated everybody with genuine kindness and decency, a reflection of his deep and abiding faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was greatly loved and is deeply missed.
