Nash, Dr. Peter Age 71, passed away on April 23, 2017. Preceded in death by his parents, Willis & Anna Phyllis. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia; son, Kevin (Kandy); daughter, Kirsten (Darin) Weber; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kyler, Talan & Hallie; brothers, Tom (Sherrill), Terry (Kathy); brother & sister-in-law, Kent & Michelle Grosser; aunt, Shirley; nieces, Karisa, Maggie & Megan; and many other beloved relatives. Peter received his BA at Lawrence University (George Walter award recipient), where he was captain of the hockey team. He achieved his MS at University of Hawaii. He then obtained his PhD at Colorado State University. He followed his passion as a professor and researcher in microbiology. He taught at multiple universities, receiving the Outstanding Researcher award at Mankato State University. He was editor of the National American Society for Microbiology Manuel. More recently, he worked in the area of biotechnology, including his last position at EgcoProtein. Peter cherished his family & friends and spending time at the cabin. His hobbies included traveling, fishing, handy-man projects and theater events. Peter was generous and kind to all and we will miss him greatly. Memorial service Sunday, April 30, 2 PM at Eden Prairie United Methodist Church, 15050 Scenic Heights Rd. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow service.
