Conley, Douglas J. Sr. age 69 of Pewee Valley, KY passed away peacefully on Friday April 21, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. Mr. Conley was born on December 31, 1947 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to James Alexander Fleming Conley and Sybil Charity Hutchinson. He was a loyal Harley Davidson enthusiast and collector. Doug also played a very active role in the tire industry, including CEO of Shamrock Marketing Inc. in Louisville KY. Mr. Conley was preceded in death by his father, James Conley and mother, Sybil Hutchinson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Janice (Desautel) Conley formerly from Bemidji, MN; sons, Douglas Bower Conley, Jr. (Leigh-Ann) of Crestwood, KY and their children Claire Conley and Noelle Conley; Patrick James Conley of St. Johns, NL Canada and his daughter Payton Conley; daughter, Heather Lyn Hickling (Duane) of Ottawa, ON Canada and children Gwyneth Hickling and Charles Hickling; brother Kenneth Conley (Jocelyn) of Horseshoe Valley, ON, Canada. Doug was a lifelong philanthropist and benevolent citizen whose charisma, smile, laugh, unique sense of style and sense of humor will be missed.
