Smith, M. Maurice (Maury/Smitty) Age 101. Born 3-17-1916. Died 4-24-2017. Preceded in death by wife, Gunellia, parents, 2 brothers, infant daughter, and a son-in-law, Lester Axdahl. Survived by daughters, Evelyn Axdahl of Maple- wood, Maurine (Sheldon) Johnson of Monticello, Karen (Mark) Hyland of Fridley; 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren with 2 more expected in August. Retired from Gamble Skogmo and Gamble Continental Bank in 1979. Past employee of Washburn-McReavy Funeral Homes. Funeral service at Fridley United Methodist Church, 680 Mississippi St. N.E., Tuesday, May 2 at 11:00 am, with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
