Peterson, Carol Lynn (Lundberg) age 83, of Columbia Heights, Minnesota passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Mercy Hospital Unity Campus in Fridley, MN. Carol was born November 16, 1933 in McCook, NE to parents LeRoy and Gladys (Rozell) Lundberg. She was one of three children born to this union. Carol grew up in McCook where she also attended school. Carol moved to Lincoln, NE in her teens, graduating from Lincoln High School. Following her high school graduation, Carol attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln earning a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. She furthered her education at the University of Minnesota where she earned her Master's Degree in Psychology. Other than living for a short time in Norway and Brussels, Carol has resided in Minnesota since that time. In 1958, she married husband Rodger Peterson. To this union two sons were born. She later married Peter Rosko in 1968. Carol enjoyed a career as a school teacher and special needs worker. She was a member of the Unitarian Society as well as Alpha Chi at the University of Nebraska. Carol was a friend of nature and lover of cats. From her first cat Dopey, to her beloved Emily and her bereaved cats Blueberry, Mr. Bagels and Muffins. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Peterson in 2009; and her two brothers, Robert Lundberg and Bernard Lundberg. Left to mourn her passing are her two sons, Rodger Rosko of Minneapolis, MN and Steven Rosko of Corona, CA; as well as her three grandchildren, Aurelia, Sheanna, and Elena Rosko. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 11 to 12:30 PM at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook. Carol will be laid to rest by her family in Memorial Park Cemetery, McCook, following a Graveside Ceremony beginning at 1 PM on Saturday April 29, 2017. Her son Steven Rosko will preside.
