Gerlad J. 'Jerry' Schiebe

Schiebe, Gerald J. 'Jerry' age 70, of Cass Lake, MN, passed away on 4/17/17. Preceded in death by parents, Roland and Marguerite (Bock) Schiebe; and brother, Frank. Survived by sister, Nadyne Balke; brother, Dick (Tina); sister-in-law, Margaret Schiebe; and loving nieces and nephews. Jerry graduated from Wayzata High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati. He spent his career as an air quality environmental engineer for Santa Barbara and other California counties. After retirement, he moved to his beloved lake home on Leech Lake, Minnesota, where he served as an Ottertail Peninsula Association officer and a township supervisor, watched sunsets, and made gallons of maple syrup for his friends and family. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held Friday, 4/28/17, at 11 AM at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 105 Forestview Ln N, Plymouth, 55441. Visitation 1 hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to North Memorial Cancer Center and North Memorial Hospice, Robbinsdale.
