Minchinton, Florence Age 95 of Bloomington died peacefully on January 1, 2017. Born in Hallock, MN she moved to Minneapolis in 1946 and became a forty-year employee of Northwestern/ Norwest/ Wells Fargo Bank. Her faith rested in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and she was a faithful member of Ebenezer Lutheran Brethren Church for over seventy years. She loved to write letters to missionaries around the world. Preceded in death by parents Thomas and Euphamie (Effie) (Cameron) Minchinton, brothers James (and wife Jane), Thomas (and wife Helen), brothers-in-law Leif Erickson and Rev. Robert Sletta. She is survived by brother Donald (Sherry), sisters Mary Erickson and Helen Sletta, and many nieces, nephews, cousins (in U.S.&U.K.) and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday May 6, 2017 at Ebenezer LB Church, 41st Street and Cedar Ave S, Mpls with visitation at 1:00 pm. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Meadow Woods, Martin Luther Campus and the hospice staff of Methodist Hospital for their compassionate care in Florence's final days. Florence donated her body to the University of Minnesota Medical School for research. Memorials are preferred to the Florence L. Minchinton Scholarship Fund, Lutheran Brethren Seminary, PO Box 655, Fergus Falls, MN 56538-0655. Inurnment later in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock, MN.
