Allstop, Robert Lowell & Allstop, Marilyn Corrine (nee Frary) Both age 88 of Mpls. Husband and Wife. Born 1 day apart April 8th and 7th, 1929 and married for 64 years. Bob died suddenly on April 14th and Marilyn succumbed to Parkinson's disease on April 18th. Survived by daughters Lynn Denise Clarin (Dan) and Julie Ann Newell; sons Laird Douglas Allstop and Michael Conrad Allstop; and many greatly loved grandchildren and great-grand children. Bob was a devoted husband and caregiver to his beautiful wife Marilyn. He worked as a machinist and tool & die specialist until his retirement. His sense of humor and love of life were infectious and will be greatly missed. He met with his friends at Senior Dining for lunch every day and sang with the Choralaires whenever he could. He would do anything for his family and friends. Marilyn was a kind and caring woman and a devoted Christian. She was an RN for over 30 years, working at Mt. Sinai hospital and as a home health care nurse and hospice nurse. After retirement, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Store to Door until her Parkinson's disease confined her to a wheelchair. She adored any child. She showered her many grandchildren with love. A memorial service will be held 11AM on Mon, April 24, 2017 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4120 17th Avenue S, MPLS. Visitation one hour prior at church. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations to Volunteers of America. Twin Cities Cremation 612-866-6711
