Alice M. Johnson

Johnson, Alice M. age 102 of Anoka. Alice Johnson was born Alice Margaret Moe on May 5th, 1914, in Manganese, Minnesota. She graduated from Brainerd High School in 1932. She worked as a waitress and at a laundry service after high school. In 1936, Alice met Cal Johnson, and two months later they were married. Alice was active at Bethany Baptist Church in the 1940's, and at Constance Evangelical Free Church in the 1950's and 60's . In 1960, Alice began working as a cook at Johnsville School. She retired in 1979. Alice entered heaven on October 21, 2016, with her family by her bedside. She is survived by her sons, Dean (Barbara) Johnson and J. Darwin (Janell) Johnson, grandchildren Bradley (Melissa) Johnson, Sandra (Walter) Edwards, Kurtis Johnson, Mindy (Erik) Hanson, Kyle Johnson and Kelsey Johnson and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J Calvin, son Dale, and grandson, Barton, her parents Alexander and Anna, her brothers, Harold and Melvin, and sisters, Alfhild and Elsie. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017, at Constance Free Church at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Andover Senior Center.
