Joanne C. Fahlin

Fahlin, Joanne C. went home to her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2017 at Franciscan Health Center. She was born to Bertil and Esther Gronvall in Des Moines, IA on January 31, 1929. Joanne graduated from Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and married Winston Fahlin on May 21, 1951. They resided in Bloomington where they raised 3 children. Joan was very active in her church choir, Sunday School, VBS, Stephen Ministry, and as a deaconess. She worked as a nurse in the Bloomington Public Schools for many years. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Janelle) Fahlin, Rebecca Fahlin, John Fahlin (BethMeyer), and her dear sister Karen (Curt) Larson. Her grandchildren Joshua (Katie), Nathan, TJ (Brenna), Matthew (Amber), Jenn (Jason), Stephanie, Andrew, and 6 beautiful great grandchildren. A memorial service for Joanne will be at Fort Snelling at a later date.
