Mead, LaVerne G. Born 2/15/1922, passed away 3/25/2017 at the age of 95. LaVerne was a long time resident of Crystal, MN. She worked at Target in Crystal for 27 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Preceded in death by husband, Harley; parents, Fred and Sue Newmann; and brother, Norm Newmann. Survived by sons, Tom (Susan), Ron (Paula) and Don (Kathy); 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and niece, Kris Newmann. Visitation 10-11 AM Friday, April 7 followed by a Memorial service at 11 AM at St. James Lutheran Church, 6700 46th Place N, Crystal. After interment at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, there will be a celebration of life for LaVerne and Harley Mead from 2-5 PM, at the Mpls Elks Lodge #44, 2875 Brookdale Drive, Brooklyn Park.
