Ring, Martin age 99 of St. Louis Park, passed away March 23, 2017. Martin was born and raised in Minneapolis. He graduated from North High and the University of Minnesota. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and was a member of The Original General Claire Chennault's Flying Tigers. When he returned from the service, Martin joined the family business, Ring Construction, with his father and brother Harold. He was a board member of Hillel and a life-long member of Beth El Synagogue, also serving on its board of trustees. Martin enjoyed traveling to Palm Springs and following the Minnesota Gopher's sports teams. Preceded in death by parents Morris & Vera Ring and siblings Harold (Florence) Ring and Ethel (Mac) Barr. Survived by wife of over 50 years, Sue; children, Lynne "Rocky" Ring Wong, Dianne (Jon) Ring Simcock, Ellen (Marty) Ross, Elizabeth (Frank) Caris, Alan (Connie) Wilensky and Margie (Mitch) Fink; grandchildren, Julie Campbell, Jackie, Jessica, and Jennifer Resnick, Courtney and Sean Gleason, Julie Ferguson (Mark Weber), Nicole (Jim) Dennis, Renee Ross, Thomas (Tatiana) Caris, Evelyn (Gareth) Caris Montgomery, Catherine and Annick Caris, Julie Wilensky (Rachel Berger), Debra Wilensky (Mark Pfeiffer), Adam Fink (Galina Guterman) and Carrie Fink (Reid Johnson); great-grandchildren, Savannah Fine, MacKenna Elran, Riley Cobrae, Nicholas Berke, Ella and Felix Dennis, Emile and Celine Weber, Nelson and Ellea Caris, Molly and Isaac Berger, Joseph and Elijah Fink, and Harlan Johnson; many loving nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his wonderful caregivers Kofi, Stella, Grace, and Diane. Funeral service 3 p.m. SUNDAY at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry St. W., St. Louis Park.
