Osking, Thomas Michael known to his family as Tommy, was born April 6, 1952 and passed away of natural causes at his home in the Grand Portage State Forest of Minnesota on March 18, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Arthur Osking. Survivors include his mother JoAnn Mack, stepfather Jerry Mack, brother Tim Osking, sisters Jody Jackson (Osking) & Jackie Osking and nephews Nick Osking, Cameron Jackson, and Connor Jackson. Family was a big part of Tommy's life and he enjoyed being with them whenever he could. Tommy loved animals, in particular his birds with whom he formed a tight and unbreakable kinship throughout the years. He loved his birds immensely, sometimes more than himself. Tommy also loved the outdoors, where he could be alone with nature, sailing on the sunny waters off the coast of Florida or exploring the snowy forests of northern Minnesota. Although he spent most of his working years in Florida living on his sailboat, he couldn't wait to return to his birth state where his dream finally came through to purchase a house in the remote forests of Minnesota where he eagerly accepted the challenges of living off the grid and fixing up his new home. He will be sorely missed. A service to celebrate Tommy's life is pending.
