Celski, Gregory Joseph Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother. Age 82 of Woodbury passed away suddenly on Monday, March 20, 2017. Greg was a great guy and a friend to everyone. He loved getting together with friends, going to dinner, and traveling. Greg loved his sports, especially watching his grandkids play. He was an avid golfer who organized many golf tournaments in his day. He was employed at the St. Paul Pioneer Press and Mpls. Star Tribune for over 30 years. After he retired, he was "the starter" at Prestwick Golf Club of Woodbury for nearly 20 years. He was a Polish boy who loved everyone and hoped they loved him too! He was a Korean War Vet and an Honor Guard. Everyone who met Greg knew he was extremely proud of his family and he reminded them often. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Doris and parents, Joseph and Isabel. Greg will be deeply missed by his children, Terri (Ken) Atzmiller, Marilee (Tim) Wallrich, Anne Runnings (Steve Conor), John (Sheri), and Matt (Sarah); grandchildren, Charlie, Luke, Maria, Katelyn, James, Joe, Emma, Grace, Ryan, Claire, Nick, Isabel, and Nate; brother Fran (Karen) Celski; brothers-in-law, Bill Branum and Butch (Barb) Branum; sisters-in-law, Madeline (Dan) Colberg and Lois (Dennis) Moravec; and many nieces and nephews. Greg's family would like to extend a thank you to the staff and residents at Stone Crest Assisted Living for their support and friendship. He loved each and every one of you. Visitation Thursday, March 23 from 4-7 PM at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Drive, Woodbury. Memorial Mass will be Friday, March 24 at 12 PM with visitation one hour prior at St. Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic Community, 4125 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury.
