Nordstrom, Gerald T. Age 84, of Minneapolis, died on March 11, after a brief struggle with brain cancer. Preceded in death by his parents Ted and Irene Nordstrom. Survived by Julie, his wife of nearly 44 years, as well as dozens of loving friends. Long-time faculty member of Minnehaha Academy, spent much of his retirement years doing charitable work for the needy. He was known for his insightful writing, his keen artistic eye, and his kind, unassuming yet colorful spirit. Jerry may be remembered most for his conviction that those who claim to acknowledge a higher power must embrace diversity and pursue justice for all. A private service has been held. A reception in his honor will be offered at the Becketwood Cooperative at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Becketwood Art Fund or the Minnehaha Academy.
