Elaine Patricia (Mikelson) Graham

Graham, Elaine Patricia (Mikelson) of St. Louis Park, died March 15. She was born November 22, 1927 in Buffalo County, Wisconsin, graduated from Nelson High School, Nelson, Wis. with honors and La Crosse State Teachers College with honors in 1949. Elaine taught elementary schools in Racine, Wis., Milwaukee County, Wis., and Edina. She received library certification at Augsburg College and was Librarian at St. Louis Park Library until she retired in 1993. Elaine loved to read, participating in several book groups. In 1955, she founded the Westwood Lutheran Church Library which has grown to its present prominence. Elaine is survived by her beloved husband, Bud (Charles) of 66 wonderful years; son, Steven; cousins, Jeff (Theresa) Mikelson, Jamie (Travis) Flemming, Patti (Terry) Heimer and their families. She was preceded in death by parents, Emil and Palma "Polly" Mikelson; a brother, Jerome "Jerry." Elaine and Bud were active members of Westwood Lutheran Church and associate members of Mindekirken Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Service at 11AM on Monday, March 27 at Westwood Lutheran Church, 9001 Cedar Lake Rd., St. Louis Park with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in Lyster Lutheran Church Upper Cemetery, Nelson, Wis. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Westwood Lutheran Church Foundation of Mindekirken Lutheran Church Foundation.
