Stillman, Ralph Paul Age 86 of Deephaven, MN passed away Saturday morning surrounded by family and loved ones. With a passion for living surpassed only by his love of family, he leaves behind a legacy that will impact generations for years to come, and a hero-sized absence that will be felt around the world. Between building schools in Africa and finding MIA WWII pilots in Papua New Guinea, his dedication to helping others was evident throughout his life. Ralph was notorious for taking on challenges of all kinds, from climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to treasure hunting in Madagascar. He was a competitive racquetball player, sailor, avid snowmobiler and enjoyed camping all year round. An athlete, outdoorsman and adventurer, he loved nothing more than sharing it all with family and friends. He continued to learn, innovate, invent, compete and give back until the very end. He could literally do anything he set his mind to. Often referred to as Superman, Ralph was a true "Renaissance Man". Preceded in death by his parents, Ruth & George Stillman, grandchildren, Isabel Chelstrom and Max Stillman, and brother-in-law, Lee Sudit. Survived by wife Faye Ruth Stillman; children, Andy Stillman (Cass), Lee Pinsky, Linda Griffiths (James), Bruce Stillman, Sara Chelstrom (Marty) and David Pinsky (Janelle Jacobson); grandchildren, Sarah Martin (Ryan), Elizabeth Lewis (Mike), Alexandra Stillman, Grace Stillman, Carly, Grant and Macey Chelstrom and great-grandchildren; siblings, Phyllis Sudit and Tommy Stillman (Liba). Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Zena. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. TUESDAY at ADATH JESHURUN CONGREGATION, 10500 Hillside Lane W., Minnetonka. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Stillman Family Foundation, JFCS, ALS Association and the Howie Stillman Young Leadership Fund. SHIVA 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Adath Jeshurun Congregation. Hodroff-Epstein, 612-871-1234 hodroffepstein.com
