Shirley Ann (nee Johnson) Rivkin

Rivkin, Shirley Ann (nee Johnson) age 88, of Waconia, formerly of Eden Prairie, passed peacefully on March 17, 2017 surrounded by family. Preceded in death by husband, Melvin; and granddaughter, Michelle Stiles. Survived by daughters, Darcy (Tim) Gjerde, Danette (Steve) Quam, and Victoria (Scott) Ruud; grandchildren, Joel Michaelson, Nadine (Deric) Graff, Dustin (Sandy) Quam, and Jett Ruud; great-grandchildren, Haylie and Emma Quam; and sister, Donna (Gary) Wessling. Shirley was born in Minneapolis on March 4, 1929 to Charlie and Anna Johnson, the tenth of twelve children. She was a very hard worker and at age 84, finally retired from Eden Prairie school district after over 30 years. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 30 at 2pm with a visitation beginning at 1pm at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory ln, Eden Prairie. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
