Archer, Eldan "El" 93, of Mtka, formerly of Wayzata. Born 4-16-21, died peacefully, Memorial Day 5-26-14. Preceded in death by former wife, Dolores "Dee" Archer; parents, Daniel & Lurinda Archer; and sister, Norma Ford. He will be deeply missed by his children, Eldan "Skip" (Kiyomi) Archer, Nancy (Jerry) Gaul, Ernie (Lita) Ford, Deborah (Bill) Ranek, Jo (Jerry) Christenson, Terri Archer, Paul Archer, Julie Archer (Jay Peck); 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; beloved brother, Ernie (Eleanor) Archer; and niece, Teresa Sims, along with dozens of nieces & nephews who dubbed him "Uncle El, the kiddies' pal". Eldan served with the USCG in the So. Pacific in WWll. He retired at age 84, but nobody told him that! His family was everything to him and he was lovingly cared for in his last years by his daughter Terri. A heartfelt thank you to Dr Michael Wolfson and his staff at No. Memorial Clinic for their exceptional, compassionate care. A celebration of life will be held July 18th, 2014 at Wayzata Community Church. Service at 10 am, visitation 1 hour prior and luncheon to follow. Private interment at Fort Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
