Birch, Mae L. Age 92, of Richfield, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017. Preceded in death by parents John & Alma Johnson; husband Byron Birch; siblings Evald, Evelyn, Evert, Harry, Helen, Verna, Melvin and the Rev. Wilbert. Survived by daughter Sarah; son Jeffrey (Karen); sisters- in-law Louise Johnson, Amy Johnson, Carole Birch; brother-in-law Dr. Maurice Lindblom; and many loving nieces and nephews. Employee of General Mills, Home Office of Lutheran Brotherhood and the Dept. of Housing and Urban Dev. Mae enjoyed cooking and baking, and was known especially for her fresh berry pies. She was a wonderful wife, mother and aunt. God and family were of utmost importance to Mae. Her life motto was, "Have Faith." Funeral service to be held on Friday, March 3 at 11:00 AM, St. John's Lutheran Church, 49th and Nicollet. Visitation one hour before the service.
