Farquhar, Constance Frances (Ponzer) Age 81, of St. Louis Park, formerly of Wynnewood, Penn., passed away February 20. Preceded in death by parents, Howard and Mary Jane Ponzer; brother, William Ponzer; husband, Francis Farquhar. Connie graduated from Bucknell University and the University of Pennsylvania. She taught 6th grade science in Lower Merion school district in Pennsylvania. She was an avid gardener of vegetables and flowers, especially pansies in the spring. She always gathered a bouquet for the table, whether at home or camping. Summers were a time to learn and collect artifacts for the classroom through cross-country travel. Connie loved watching sports - especially her son's and the Eagles - and listening to country music. Moving to Minnesota, she volunteered with children at the Science Museum of Minn. and enjoyed exploring central and northern Minnesota in her red convertible. Occasionally she traveled south, exploring Civil War history en route to Summerville, SC (her childhood home) and Florida. Throughout her stay at Westwood/The Villa, Connie appreciated the care and kindness of friends and staff. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed the visits, music, and joy they shared. Survived by son, William (Mary) Farquhar and granddaughters, Lauren and Katherine. Funeral service Saturday, March 4, 11:00 a.m., at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata.
