Rau, Robert J. age 72, of Inver Grove Heights, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 20. He was born December 26, 1944 in St. Paul to William C. and Gertrude C. (nee Bovy) Rau. Robert is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Judy (nee Stommes); son, Greg (Laura) Rau; daughter, Christine (Jason) Bakke; grandpa's little people, Kara, Derick, and Andrew; and siblings, Bill Rau, Kathy (Roger) Thompson, and Tony (Julia) Rau. Robert was a kind and generous man of devout faith. He lived a life of Integrity, and was a mentor to many, including his family. Robert also served others as a Volunteer at Pinewood Elementary School in Eagan. He will be forever loved and treasured. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 10 AM, Tuesday, February 28 at the Church of St. Thomas Becket, 4455 S. Robert Trail, Eagan, with visitation 1 hour prior.
