Krier, Sylvester A. (Syl) Age 81 passed away on February 22, 2017. Syl is survived by his wife, Virginia (Keppers) of 51 years, his sons David (Kristie) and Paul (Caroline). He has 5 grandchildren Josef, Kellyanne, Emily, Andrew, and Luke. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Anna (Welter), brothers Jim, Don, Tony, and son Stephen. Syl grew up in Northfield, MN then enlisted in the US Army and served shortly in Korea. He supported his family by working at Western Union (Minneapolis) for 16 years and Minnesota Power (Duluth) for 19 years. Syl and Virginia both retired in 1995; living in Ham Lake, MN during the summers and living in South Texas during the winters. Syl loved his family, camping, coaching baseball for his boys, buying stocks, playing cards, and going to church on Sundays. He was a devout Christian and was an active member of St Michael's Catholic Church while in Duluth, MN and the Catholic Church of St. Paul while in Ham Lake, MN.
