Thomsen, Carl A. age 92, of Edina, Minnesota, died on February 20, 2017 from complications of Alzheimer's dementia. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Road, Edina, MN. Reviewal will be held at 1pm. Interment will be at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis, MN. Carl was born in Waterloo, Iowa on May 24, 1924. He married Edna Hansen in 1946. Carl worked as a CPA for Lutheran Brotherhood Life Insurance for over 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army and he was a deeply committed volunteer at his church. Carl was preceded in death by his parents Carl S and Minnie, his brother, Leo and his wife, Edna. He is survived by his daughters Cheryl (Tom Heideman) and Nancy, and 2 grandchildren, Sarah and Ben.
