James Russell Doering

Doering, James Russell age 37, passed away on January 29, 2017, at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, LA, surrounded by loving family and friends. He was a native of Minneapolis and a resident of New Orleans the past two years. Preceded in death by father Steven Doering, grandparents James and Patricia Doering, and Elizabeth Gallagher Rapp. James is survived by his loving family: mother Marie Rapp Doering, siblings Lyz Doering Wagner (Matt), Steven, Amber, and Josh, nephew Gordon Van Sant, grandfather Russell Rapp, all of the Minneapolis area, love of his life Sarah Wronkoski (Hammond, LA), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and the many friends James considered his family. James was an extremely devoted friend, lover of life, MN State Fair, birds, animals, and the outdoors. He was a career bartender in Minneapolis and New Orleans, including nightingale, Mortimer's, and 19 Bar. His smile was contagious; everyone who met him loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at noon, Thursday, February 23rd at the American Legion, 6501 Portland Ave. So., Richfield. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Animal Humane Society or your local animal rescue center in James' name.
