Bechtel, Marjorie L. (Pelinka) age 86, of Bloomington, MN. Born in Owatonna, MN, Marjorie passed away Feb. 6, 2017 of natural causes. Preceded in early death by our dear son, Gary W. Bechtel; parents, Joe F. and Ida Pelinka (Pfeiffer); loving sister, Gertrude Pelinka; and brothers, Raymond and Frankie Pelinka. Survived by loving husband of 60 years, John Bechtel; niece, JoAnn Pelinka and nephew, James (Mary Jo) Pelinka. Marjorie graduated from Owatonna High School in 1948, later moved to Mpls. where she met and married John in 1956. A year later, son Gary was born. In 2004 Marjorie and John moved from their Portland Avenue home of 48 years to the Realife Cooperative on Lyndale Ave. There Marjorie was involved in activities of the co-op. Enjoyed visiting with their many friends, working crossword and jig saw puzzles. Years prior, while working at "Meals-on-Wheels", Marge met Marlys Drebenstedt. The two became and remained best friends. 2014 brought another and last move to an assisted living residence, Presbyterian Homes, where more good friends were made. Memorial service Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 601 E. 98th St., Bloomington. John welcomes their Realife, church and Presbyterian Home friends to a 10:00 AM visitation at the church, with service at 11:00 AM. Memorials preferred to Atonement Lutheran Church.
