Gruesner, Mandel S. Age 92, passed away peacefully on January 21. He is preceded in death by parents, Jacob and Ida; siblings, Sam, Eva, Paul and Phillip; beloved wife of 52 years, Gladys; and son, Carl. Mendy grew up in north Minneapolis and graduated from North High. He served proudly in the Army during WWII flying The Hump, a strategic aerial supply route between India and Burma. For decades, he worked in the car business managing several dealerships. Mendy loved his family, often referring to them all as his most treasured legacies. He is survived by devoted wife, Chuckie; his children, Mark and Carolyn, Cookie and Rick; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grand-children; step-children, Maureen and Shel, Sandy and Zack; and their children and grandchildren. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Charlotte Berke; many nieces, nephews and treasured friends.
