Dahle, Omund Richard "Dick" Age 91, of Richfield, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 17, 2017. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Alice; his parents Rev. Anker and Clara Dahle; and great-grandson Dane. Survived by siblings, Rev. Norman (Eleanor), Rolf (Joyce), Clara, and Byron (Theo) Dahle; sons Rev. Richard (Gloria), John (Cynthia); and daughters Diane (Rev. Richard) Dahle-Koch and Jeanne (Dr. Brad) Kallenberg; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Born Oct 17, 1925 in Minneapolis. Graduated from Aitkin MN HS (1943) followed by a three year US Navy enlistment, graduated from the U of Minn. Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering (1950). During the Korean War 1950-52 he served as a Lieutenant in an Army Signal Corp Radio Relay Company. In 1952 Dick was employed by Honeywell, Inc., in their Patent Law Department. He received his law degree of Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 1956 and continued in his career of Patent Law with Honeywell until his retirement in 1989. An active member of the Gideons International for more than forty years. Dick enjoyed the days of New Testament distribution to receptive students at schools and college campuses. Dick and Alice were Charter Members of Emmaus Lutheran Church since 1952. He often remarked that his most cherished memories were spread across some 40 years when he was requested to teach in an Adult Bible Class at his church. Funeral service 11:00 Monday, Jan. 23 at Emmaus Free Lutheran Church, 8443 2nd Ave. S. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
