Meyer, Pamela J. Well everyone, I'm sorry, but I won't be able to make club visits, enjoy book club, teacher luncheons, holiday parties and family gatherings. All of you know our friendship and conversations were what I enjoyed. My life came to an unexpected end this past Sunday at 67 years young, too fast for me, but I will be at all future gatherings in spirit enjoying your company. I grew up in Grand Meadow with my parents Mae and Bob Gross and my much older sister, Ann (kidding). I went to Winona State where I met my future husband, Terry. I married him despite his many concussions and lack of common sense. If I had not met him, we would not have 2 beautiful sons, Chris and Pat (mama's boys), who with their spouses Jen and Laura, have given us 5 beautiful grandkids: Leo, Olivia, Eli, Emmett and 'Screwy Louie'. I will miss them immensely. As you may know, my 36 year teaching career started as a personal goal in 8th grade, following in my mother's foot steps. It was either that or learn how to weld in my father's shop. I know I made the right choice. I don't have many regrets, but not getting to see my grandkids grow up was the hardest realization I had to face in my lifetime. The time I spent with them was invaluable. I will follow them and watch them as God's spirit. I will miss you all. P.S. Terry may need help with planter boxes, holiday decorating and finding little things I've hid around the house. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, January 21st, 2017, at 11:00 AM (Visitation begins at 10:00 AM) at United Church of Christ, 1000 Long Lake Rd, New Brighton, MN 55112. Luncheon to follow service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the United Church of Christ (New Brighton) or Virginia Piper Cancer Institute Pancreatic Care Program.
