Ling, Rose S. Passed away peacefully on January 16, 2017 at the age of 95. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph T. Ling. Survived by children, Lois, Rosa, Louis (Beth) and Lorraine (Jim); 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She went to college in Shanghai during WWII where she met her husband. She was the first woman to obtain a MS degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. After three years working in China, she returned to do polymer research at General Mills and Henkel Company. She enjoyed fishing, traveling to many countries, bowling, golfing and cooking with the TaFa Investment Club. She lived the last 10 years at Waverly Garden where she was loved by all. The family would like to sincerely thank her loving caregivers at Waverly Gardens. Funeral Service will be Thursday, January, 19 at 2 PM at Waverly Gardens, 5919 Centerville Rd., North Oaks. Memorials preferred to The Ling Graduate Fellowship In Civil Engineering (Fund 6790) at the University of Minnesota or Waverly Gardens Presbyterian Homes. Bradshaw 651-407-8300
