Canary, Randi M. "A Southern Belle wafted across the Mason-Dixon line on the wings of love." Randi Canary of Eden Prairie, Minnesota lost her courageous four-year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis on January 5,2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 13, 1946 to George and Laverne Canary. Randi graduated from Loreto High School In Louisville, Kentucky in 1964. She later attended college and obtained an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming. She worked for many years as a Crisis Counselor for Seven Counties Services in Louisville, Kentucky. She was an avid reader and lover of all God's creation. She knew no harsh words for others and prayed for all. She was an active member of the Cathedral of the Assumption in Louisville, Kentucky until she moved with her spouse to Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Once in Eden Prairie, she was an active member of Pax Christi Catholic Community. Preceded in death by parents, grandparents, maternal aunt and many friends. She is survived by her spouse of 27 years, Sara Byeriey (Eden Prairie, Minnesota), maternal Uncle Norm Mayer (Mert) of Jeffersontown, Kentucky, brother-in-law Daniel Byeriey of New Albany, Indiana, her most loved dogs Spencer and Teddy and parrot Hariey. Visitation will be at Washbum-McReavy, 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, Minnesota on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Funeral Mass at Pax Christi Catholic Community on January 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM, one-hour visitation prior to funeral with internment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Eden Prairie, Minnesota. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Louisville, Kentucky area in the spring. Information for this celebration will be posted at a later date.
