Bork, Doreen "Dottie" age 69, of Robbinsdale, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016. She was born March 6, 1947 in Minneapolis to Orville "O.J." and Alyce Hamlin. She married her high school sweetheart on June 24, 1967 and worked as a Paralegal for many years. Dottie was one of the 13 people that were instrumental in having the State of MN implement a bowhunter education program. She and Howard were among the first people to be sanctioned by the state to teach the MN Bowhunter Education course, and later became a Master Instructor. She was responsible for organizing and teaching Bowhunter Education courses held at the Coon Rapids Archery Club and other locations for several hundred bowhunters over the course of 30 years. She also helped teach Firearms Safety courses until Alzheimer's prevented her from teaching. Survived by husband, Howard; children, Andrew (Anya), Amanda (Patt), Carrie and Mike; grandchildren, Joseph (Krystal), Victoria, Noah, Alexandria, Sidney, Olivia, Mia and Mason; sister, Diane Mossey; nieces, Laura and Brenda; nephew, Jonathan. Preceded in death by both parents; brother, Dennis Hamlin; father-in-law, Sid Bork Jr,; mother-in-law, Lorna Bork; grandmother-in-law, Elsie Matson. Funeral services will be 1pm Friday, December 9 at the First Lutheran Church of Crystal, 7708 62nd Ave N., Brooklyn Park, with private interment at Ft. Snelling. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, and again one hour prior to the service Friday AT CHURCH.
