Matuska, Curtis Eugene 96, formerly of Crystal, MN, died Friday, November 18, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Health System- Oakridge in Osseo, WI. Curtis most recently was a resident at Crystal Lake Terrace Assisted Living in Strum, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hilda of Wahpeton, ND, sister, Alice (Hurley) of New Hope, MN and wife, Mary Jane (Olson) Matuska of Strum. Curt was a W.W. II veteran, having served as an Army Medic in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre, (New Guinea). He is survived by nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends who will miss him. Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Strum, WI. Burial will be in West Beef River Lutheran Cemetery, rural Strum. Friends may call from 9-11 am, Saturday at the church. Schiefelbein Funeral Home, 13507 7th St., Osseo, WI 54758, is assisting the family.
