Olson, Marguerite (Greet) Claire of Edina passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the presence of her family. Born January 10, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Miriam Johnson; siblings, Paul Johnson, Virginia Shikany, Maureen Derksen and Roy Johnson. Marguerite was a graduate of The Academy of Holy Angels, and the University of Minnesota where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clifford; children, C. Matthew (Jenine), Jeffrey , Gregory (Heather), Miriam (Jeffrey Mills, dec.); grandchildren, Melanie Taylor, Brent and Jason Gallant, Miriam, Anders, and Justin Olson; Louisa Olson; Charlie, Kristin, and Leslie Olson; Marguerite Mills; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Among Marguerite's many volunteer activities are the Church of St. Patrick, VEAP, Loaves & Fishes, The Christ Child Society, and Risen Christ School. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 11 at 11:00 am at Church of St. Patrick (Chapel) 6820 St. Patrick's Lane Edina. Private interment. Visitation Friday 1 hour prior to Mass only.
