Glad, Shirley L. (Madden) Born on October 24, 1928 and passed away peacefully 88 years later on October 25, 2016 with her children by her side. Shirley was born in Hibbing, Minnesota where she raised her family before moving to Plymouth in 1998. She worked 25 years at the Hibbing Hospital as a nursing assistant. Preceded in death by her son, Darryl Glad; and sister, Doris Basta. She is survived by her sister, Betty Nordstrom; children, Stan (Anne) Glad of Wayzata, Jodi (Rich) Dilley of Plymouth, Dana (Michael) Fisk of Duluth, Yvonne (Daniel) Lachmiller of Elk River; grandchildren, Becky Avelar, Andrea Barker, Cole, Danielle and Jack Lachmiller; and great-grand children, Elizabeth, Molly, Nathan, Riley, Cooper and Brecken. Shirley's family would like to send a sincere and heart felt thank you to the doctors, staff, and incredible nurses at North Memorial in Robbinsdale. A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held on Thursday, November 3, at Vision of Glory Lutheran Church in Plymouth. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10-11 AM prior to the service at 11 AM. Please join us for a luncheon after the service. 13200 Highway 55, Plymouth, Minnesota 55441.
