Maki, Janet Lee Janet Maki age 68, of New Hope passed away peacefully in her home early Sunday morning, Oct. 23, 2016, with family by her side. Incredibly caring and giving, Janet brightened people's days with gestures of kindness. She was a loving mom, grandma, aunt, sister, teacher and friend. We remember her for her radiant smile, great sense of humor, perseverance and insatiable sweet tooth. Her life will forever inspire us. Janet is survived by son Craig (Erin), daughter Jill (Matt Johnson), grandchildren (Addison, Dylan, Lauren, Griffin and Jacob), sisters Jean (Jon) Shutte and Judy (John) Moeller; brothers- and sisters-in-law Tom (Marie) Maki, Donald (Lynn) Maki, Lana (Brian) Pfeifer, Mike (Becky) Maki, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Janet was preceded in death by her husband Walter, parents John and Marie Prebeg, father- and mother-in-law Walter and Mary Maki, and niece Sarah Maki. Mass of Christian Burial at Parish Community of St. Joseph (8701 36th Ave. N., New Hope, MN 55427) on Friday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery. Visitation will be at Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home (7800 Bass Lake Rd., New Hope, MN 55428) on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 5:30-8 p.m. with a Time of Sharing beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation also at church one hour prior.
