Blore, Marilyn Elaine Age 81 of Crystal, MN on October 17, 2016. Survived by beloved sons Bruce and Tim (Liz); cherished granddaughters Jocelyn and Jacqueline; sister Beverly (Warren) Plante; also nieces, nephews and many friends. Preceded in death by father Sam Knudson and mother Mae Knudson (nee Pederson); husband Donald; son Steven. Marilyn was born and raised in Minot, N.D., graduating from Minot High School and Minot State Teacher's College. She enjoyed a brief career in teaching following her graduation from college. Later in life she was a substitute teacher at St. Raphaels and Sacred Heart Catholic Schools in the Mpls. area. She also worked at Dayton's Department Store part-time. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her true passions were raising her family and volunteering. She was an extremely generous person who volunteered countless hours including at Thorson Elementary School as a Room Mother. She was a Den Mother for her sons' Cub Scout groups. She volunteered in many roles at Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. She was with the Bell Choir of St. James Lutheran Church in Crystal. She was President of the Crippled Child Relief Organization for 14 years and a member for many years. She spent 30+ years volunteering for friends of the Minnesota Orchestra, being named volunteer of the year in 2007. She loved her family, friends and students. She will be sorely missed by many. Memorials preferred to Friends of the Minnesota Orchestra, special designation to Kinder Konzerts, 1111 Nicollet Mall, Mpls., MN 55403 or to the Scholarship Fund at Robbinsdale-Cooper High School, 8230 47th Ave. N., New Hope, MN 55428.
