Lorraine D. Guthe

Guthe, Lorraine D. Age 91, of Maplewood, passed away October 12, 2016. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert, several brothers and sisters, and her parents. She grew up in Duluth, worked as a secretary at banks there and in Minneapolis, and with her husband raised their children in Richfield, where they lived for more than 40 years. She was an active member of Woodlake Lutheran Church and, before that, of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader, liked to sew, and enjoyed travels in the United States, Canada, and Europe. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Survived by sons, Kurt and Kevin (Gyme); daughter, Ann; granddaughter, Rian; and sister, Donna. Memorial service Wednesday, October 26, 11 AM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. So. Edina, 952-924-4100. Visitation one-hour prior to service, reception afterward. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the American Swedish Institute or the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Minneapolis. The family thanks the Gracewood Senior Living and Brighton Hospice staffs for their care of Lorraine.
