Paulson, Judith Elaine (Steiner) 76, of Brooklyn Park, MN, went home to her Lord in Heaven on Oct 12, 2016. Judie was born July 14, 1940 in Ironwood, Michigan. Judie grew up in South Minneapolis. She had many service and administrative jobs, including at Earle Brown Elementary School and was a Guardian ad litem in the Twin Cities helping abused children. She met and married the love of her life, Sig, and raised 3 children. They built a retirement home on Lake Latoka in Alexandria, MN. They enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending winter in Texas with their many friends down in the Rio-Grand Valley. Judie was a heart (2000) and kidney (2005) recipient and a strong advocate for donation. Judie shared many more years of life with her family and friends thanks to the generosity of her organ donors and her excellent care at Mayo Transplant Clinic in Rochester, MN. Her inspiring presence and devotion to the Lord will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Sigfred, her parents, John Steiner and Rachael (Mitchell) Norris, her sister Patricia, and her heart donor, Nikki. She was cherished by her family, children: Brenda (Doug) Lodin, Richard (Sharon) Paulson, and Joel (Nancy) Paulson. Adored by her grandchildren, Christopher, Sara, Ben (Jenny), Nathan, Angela, Jacob, Tyler, and Ashley, Great Grandchildren: Judie, Jenna, Silas, Wyatt, and Eleanor, Sister, Marcia Galle: Brother, Wayne Steiner, and many relatives and friends. A memorial service celebrating Judie's life will be held on Friday, Oct 28th at 12 noon at the Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park (763) 560-3100. Visitation begins at 11am. Memorials are preferred to the family in lieu of flowers.
