Wyer, James I., IV 1919 2016. After 96 years of some toil, some tears and lots of smiles, Jim finally tossed in the towel on October 14, 2016 as the result of the usual 2nd childhood infirmities associated with great age. A life-long resident of the Deephaven area, he is survived by sister-in-law Poo Wyer (John), nephews Nick (Jane), Chris (Tammy), Steve (Rebecca), Mike and Steve's children, Keith, Molly, Ralph, Frank, Joseph and Stevie and Charlotte Anderson of Florida. Preceded in death by brother Ralph. Memorial Mass at Church of St. Therese, 18323 Minnetonka Blvd., Deephaven (952-473-4422) on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Mass will be followed by a reception and celebration of Jim's life at the Lafayette Club, Minnetonka Beach. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
